Based in Tabubil and reporting to the Manager Mobile Maintenance, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Workshop Maintenance team.

Your role will involve:

  • Overseeing maintenance works on track dozers and ancillary gears;
  • Ensuring all equipment maintenance adheres to statutory and legislative requirements, prioritizing environmental responsibility;
  • Monitoring safety practices to minimize risks and ensure compliance with statutory obligations and company policies;
  • Planning and leading the Workshop Maintenance team to achieve targets while promoting a culture of safety and teamwork;
  • Ensuring work management elements are followed, including capacity loading and maintenance planning;
  • Planning and implementing maintenance strategic objectives and projects;
  • Ensuring compliance with critical statutory inspections and government regulations;
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping in workshops and on-site; and
  • Providing leadership through coaching, mentoring, and developmental activities for the crew.

To be considered, you must possess the following:

  • A Trades Certificate or Degree in Engineering;
  • Cert VI training and assessing;
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in mining/heavy industry with 5+ years in a similar role;
  • Demonstrated experience with OHS&E leadership and risk management;
  • Excellent project management and contractor management experience;
  • Some experience in the budgeting process and effective cost management;
  • Strong SAP Work Management experience or similar;
  • Excellent people skills and communicator;
  • Strong leadership and personnel management abilities;
  • Good attention to detail in planning and discipline; and
  • A highly motivated, self-driven team player with a positive attitude.
