Based in Tabubil and reporting to the Manager Ancillary Equipment & Cranes, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency and safety of our utilities infrastructure.

Your role will involve:

  • Leading and overseeing comprehensive maintenance planning activities for utilities infrastructure, including water treatment plants, power generation, and distribution systems;
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize asset management, extending the life of utility assets and improving operational efficiency;
  • Managing maintenance improvement projects from planning through execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget;
  • Mentoring and leading a team of maintenance planners and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards;
  • Developing and monitor KPIs for maintenance activities, preparing regular reports on maintenance performance, project status, and asset conditions for senior management; and
  • Identifying and implementing best practices in maintenance planning and asset management, driving initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of utility systems.

To be considered, you must possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or a related field;
  • Certification in maintenance management (e.g., CMRP, PMP, SAP) would be advantageous;
  • At least 10 years of experience in maintenance planning and asset management within the utilities sector, preferably in a mining or heavy industrial environment;
  • Proven experience & ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with strong knowledge of CMMS and other maintenance planning tools;
  • SAP Work Management experience or similar;
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery;
  • Demonstrated experience with OHS&E leadership and risk management;
  • Experience in the budgeting process and effective cost management;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Strong leadership and personnel management abilities;
  • Attention to detail in planning and discipline; and
  • A highly motivated, self-driven team player with a positive attitude.
