MANAGER – ASSET MANAGEMENT

Based in Tabubil and reporting to General Manager – Engineering Infrastructure & Projects, you will be responsible for managing the Asset Management Department and providing the overall governance and leadership

Your role will involve:

  • Providing overall leadership, technical knowledge, operational experience, and management skills to the business;
  • Ensuring the integration of internal & external aspects of asset management to achieve short and long goals;
  • Governing the planning & scheduling function for all maintenance activities by monitoring the actual practice against best practice and standards,
  • Monitoring and analyzing work management parameters and documenting improvements;
  • Reporting and supporting departments to achieve maintenance effectiveness and efficiency; and
  • Managing the Asset Management Framework and ensuring all elements of the framework are analyzed yearly and recommending plans to bridge the undesired gaps.

 To be considered, you must possess the following: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related;
  • At least 10 years of experience in maintenance & operations management;
  • Experience in running a governance function is required, with demonstrated improvement results for asset management activities;
  • A Class 1 PNG Driver’s License;
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on effective management, guiding teams to achieve organizational objectives;
  • Extensive experience in managing facilities and workshops, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with safety standards.
  • Well-versed in mining regulations and Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) legislation, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and fostering a safe working environment; and
  • An excellent team player with high level of communication & articulation, strong attention to detail, highly organized, and ability to multitask & work under pressure.
