MAINTENANCE TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

Based in Tabubil and reporting to the Superintendent Processing Upstream Maintenance, you will be responsible for coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Your role will involve:

  • Playing a crucial role in developing strategies to optimize equipment reliability and availability in alignment with organizational objectives;
  • Coordinating all maintenance activities in the upstream processing sector;
  • Developing and implementing maintenance strategies to reduce mean time between failures (MTBF) and enhance equipment availability;
  • Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards, policies, and procedures;
  • Monitoring environmental management practices and ensuring adherence to environmental policies;
  • Planning, organizing, and monitoring maintenance activities;
  • Participating in daily, weekly, and long-term planning;
  • Managing maintenance budgets and control expenses within approved limits;
  • Ensuring statutory compliance and adherence to quality assurance standards;
  • Maintaining and updating maintenance policies and procedures based on industry best practices;
  • Providing administrative support, including reporting, record-keeping, and communication with stakeholders; and
  • Supervising and training maintenance team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

 To be considered, you must possess the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, maintenance management, or related field;
  • At least 10 years’ experience in maintenance coordination, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector;
  • Possesses diagnostic and analytical skills with experience in interpreting system failures and repairs;
  • Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and environmental management practices;
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff;
  • Proficiency in budget management and cost control;
  • Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and quality assurance standards;
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively; and
  • Commitment to upholding company values and contributing to a positive work culture.
