Summary

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the organization. This role plays a crucial part in inventory control and warehouse management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments.
  • Verify inventory quantities and report discrepancies.
  • Organize and store materials in designated locations.
  • Prepare and label items for shipping or storage.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile with records.
  • Monitor and report low-stock or overstock situations.
  • Assist in inventory audits and data analysis.
  • Update inventory management software as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill material requests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Grade 10 and 12 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in inventory control or related roles.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications.
