DISPATCHER

Reference: 20005263

Based in Tabubil and reporting to the Senior Dispatcher, you will be responsible for the maintenance and efficient operation and system optimization of the Modular Mining Dispatch Fleet Management System.

Your role will involve:

  • Providing Technical Information and Support to the entire Dispatch Team, the Mine operations Team and Mine Planning Team for the efficient operation of the Dispatch System to optimize Production with cost-effective dispatching strategies and Zero Harm.
  • Maximizing the utilisation of the Truck, Loader and Auxiliary Equipment fleet using the Dispatch Systems;
  • Monitoring Short Interval Controls (SIC) and report Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the Dispatch team, Mine Operations and Process Control Performance and taking appropriate steps to improve equipment productivity and blending requirements;
  • Effectively communicating with the Shift Maintenance Dispatcher to accurately capture maintenance data and contribute towards preventative maintenance and improved availability of equipment;
  • Providing reliable and accurate reports from the Dispatch Database;
  • Carrying out daily system optimization duties; and
  • Ensuring accurate statistical information is captured and recorded by the Dispatch and MinVu system.

To be considered, you must possess the following:

  • A Trades Qualification;
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in a mining industry;
  • At least 5 years of experience as Heavy Equipment Operator, preferably dump trucks and shovels;
  • Experience in operating the Modular MasterLink Dispatch 5 and Dispatch 6 system;
  • Familiar with equipment common failure modes;
  • Familiar with MS products such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate;
  • High attention to detail and analytical reporting skills; and
  • Proven ability in leadership, demonstrating strong commitment to safety and safe production, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement among the workforce.
