DISPATCH ENGINEER

Reference: 20002692

Based in Tabubil and reporting to the Superintendent Mine Dispatch, you will be responsible for maintaining the production focus and administration of the Modular Mining Dispatch Fleet Management System and its reporting systems.

Your role will involve:

  • Providing engineering and technical information to the shift Team Leaders to enable the Dispatch team to operate the Dispatch 6 System without delays or discrepancies;
  • Ensuring reliable, accurate and high-quality data integrity of the Dispatch database is captured and reported by the MinVu Reporting System;
  • Developing and monitoring specifications for system enhancements by liaising closely with Modular Mining Systems and Software support teams to ensure high system performance is achieved through ticketing and video/audio means;
  • Optimizing the Dispatch system performance by carrying out data analysis on operational performance and providing cost effective solutions to optimally manage the mining equipment and achieve maximized production;
  • Supporting the training and development of the Dispatch team members to ensure best practice and continuous improvement drive;
  • Monitoring and support the PV3 HPGPS High Precision floor level control application in close consultation with the Mine Planning team.
  • Effectively promote health and safety programs targeting zero harm work-related injuries and illness within the team; and
  • Maintaining a culture of environmental awareness underpinned by an understanding of the principles of environmental impact.

To be considered, you must possess the following:

  • A tertiary qualification in Mining/Civil Engineering Discipline or Computer Sciences;
  • At least 3-5 years of similar role with knowledge of Dispatch 5 MasterLink or Dispatch 6 Systems;
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of operational models;
  • Well demonstrated experience in managing teams;
  • A team player with positive attitude; and
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and high attention to detail.
