A) RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and organize accounting systems and procedures for all financial transactions of the organization and provide advice on record-keeping and compliance requirements.
- Proactively identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and process inefficiencies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct financial statement preparation, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare annual budgets for the organisations and provide monthly updates on actuals versus budget
- Evaluate and enhance internal controls, including risk assessments and regular review of risk areas.
- Support business decision-making through comprehensive financial tracking, monitoring, and corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate the audit process with the internal and external auditors
- Provide recommendations on compliance and financial aspects of the business as and when required.
- Expand the corporate client base, establishing high-quality public relations with clients/customers.
- Perform regular (minimum monthly) reconciliations of all general ledger accounts, addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Deliver regular financial reports and analysis and present to the General Manager and Board and other stakeholders as and when requested/required.
- Must have a degree in Accounting with CPA accreditation
- At least 5 years working experience as an accountant
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and business management.
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Skilled in handling interpersonal relationships tactfully.
- Quick to learn, with a keen eye for detail.
C) Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Competent in research for information gathering and development.
- Capable of performing data analytics.
