About the opportunity

We are seeking a result-driven HR professional with a passion for driving organizational excellence that will align the HR strategies with the business objectives. The HRBP will play a critical role in aligning our HR strategies with business objectives, providing expert HR guidance, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of HR best practices.

As an HR Business Partner, you will partner with business leaders to understand and support their strategic goals and objectives, providing HR expertise in areas such as workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development and employee relations. 

You will drive and implement HR initiatives that improve performance, engagement and retention. Serve as a trusted advisor to the HR Manger and employees, you will develop, update and communicate HR policies, procedures and best practices across the site. Within the Human Resource and Employee Relations Department, you will provide professional advice to the other sections on matters related to best HR practices, improve internal controls and processes and lead employee engagements. 

About you

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior HR role, preferably in a generalist capacity. 

You must demonstrate strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations and best practices related to Employee Relations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Experience with HRIS systems and HR analytics, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Mobilization Requirement 

  • This position is open to PNG Citizens only
  • This role requires a Fly-in Fly-out working arrangement 28 days on, 14 off.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. (This will be arranged only for successful candidates who progress after the interview stage)
  • Must have an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months) a
  • Possess a PNG valid driver‘s licence
