About the role

Ensure the secure operation whilst fulfilling end user requirements for timely availability of materials from the warehouse and to carry out the receipt, storage, issue and dispatch of materials in a safe and efficient manner whilst adhering to site policies and procedures.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Receive, store, issue and dispatch of operational spares and consumables to always ensure continuous production.
• Unpack, sort and checking of goods received for quality, quantity, and specification.
• Ensure all goods are issued in accordance with company procedures and discrepancies are investigated in a timely manner.
• Complete stock taking as directed by the Supply Superintendent and Supply Manager.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies relating to receipting issues.
• Maintain compliance with Supply standard operating procedures (SOP’S).
• Ensure good Warehouse housekeeping maintain at all times.

About You

To be considered for this position, candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in a warehousing environment where they have used computerized storage systems and they have gained a good understanding of storing concepts and techniques. In addition to this, candidates should also (ideally) be able to demonstrate some or all of the following.

• Demonstrated skill in the use of supply computing software: software: Pronto, MS office suite.
• Competence in operation of materials handling equipment. (Eg: Forklift truck)
• Must have grade 12 certificate or above.
• Good interpersonal skills together with effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated skills in risk awareness and hazard identification.
• Must have class six (6) driver’s license.
